Chilly Lekku by Reelu-KiShala Chilly Lekku by Reelu-KiShala
Last one I'm going to upload. I really liked the angle of the image, and it shows a lot of the detail on the headpiece.

The only thing that saddened me during this project was that a lot of people called me Queen Amidala at Star Wars in Concert. *sigh* She was not a Twi'lek, she didn't have head tails! But. I imagine it was just because of how ornate the costume looked and the makeup work I did. I imagine a lot of folks knew I was a Twi'lek. At least I hope a lot of people did.

Anyway. Reelu spent most of her childhood on Tatooine, so she never really saw snow before. I imagine she would probably have been rather fascinated the first time she actually did get to see it.

Reelu Jin belongs to me of course. Twi'leks belong to Lucas and his wonderful Star Wars Universe. =)

I feel your pain, when I worked as Sidious at the Star Wars Exhibition Örnsköldsvik 2 years ago, parents had to tell their kids who I was, or rather what I was, namely "the Emperor", not Darth Sidious or anything, only the Emperor...Vader on the other hand got much more attention and even children whom had never seen the OT knew who he was.

I think it was the makeup on my face besides the ornate headdress that threw people off. Then again, the ear cones sticking off the side of my head should have been a clue. Maybe? Ah well. It doesn't upset me that much. People seemed to enjoy the costume either way. I did nearly go blind from cameras going off while trying to return to my chair once intermission was over. Peoples comments were so awesome and funny to hear.

LOL! Great costume! I saw it on that site link. One question, does any twi'leks show up as oola, and if so are they wearing as much (or as little) as she is?

I didn't see any at Star Wars in concert, but I do know there have been gals that have dressed as Ooola at the Star Wars Celebrations and other galleries. There will probably be a least a couple at Celebration V in Orlando this year. We'll see what happens. =)

well, I like twi'lek (females)! The sexiest females in the star wars universe! When everybody else was gaga over princess leia in her slave outfit I was gaga over oola! its a shame that oola became an snack for a rancor!

The Lekku are actually crafted by Pam over at [link] They're made out of latex and are actually pretty comfortable to wear.

people that mistake Twi'lek lekku for Queen Amidala's Headdress should be forbidden from going to Star Wars in Concert! :O

That is an absolutely gorgeous costume, as well as a shot that shows it off really well. It's rare to see a Twi'lek that looks so natural, and that's probably due to the tan lekku "skin" and the spots, as well as how the complex headdress and bangles tie the whole costume together. Really pretty. I'd call this going above and beyond in terms of cosplaying.
